Connecting Africa and Global Markets

Africa is a dynamic continent with significant trading opportunities. RD Technologies is leveraging our experience in Hong Kong and its established regulatory framework to build stronger financial links.

Underlying this approach is our conviction that an increasing share of global payments and settlement will ultimately move on-chain. With our roots and regulated infrastructure in Hong Kong, we see a major opportunity to strengthen the financial bridge between African markets and Asia, particularly across the vital trade corridors connecting Africa and China.

Partnering with Local Banks and Regulators

Our discussions with leading Ghanaian banks focused on how digital-asset infrastructure can complement existing banking capabilities to improve cross-border settlements. We work with banks, rather than around them—combining their local foreign-exchange capabilities with RD Technologies’ cross-border infrastructure to translate this use case into a practical market solution.

We held constructive talks with the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchange Commission Ghana as we continue to develop a compliant pathway. Furthermore, our partnership with local firm Aether Strategies directly complements our existing partnerships and operations across other African countries, strengthening our collaborative network to support Africa-China trade and intra-African commerce.

Ghana represents a key step in RD Technologies’ broader expansion across Africa. Our plan is to develop an interconnected network of regulated banking partnerships and payment corridors supporting global and intra-African commerce—helping position African businesses to participate seamlessly in the next generation of global trade.
